About a month ago, a glass of wine was poured onto the keyboard of my Powerbook. So, I took the advice of some of my friends and washed it off in the shower, just to make sure it was good and clean. Since it was pretty wet from the whole shower thing, I set it up "tent style" to dry out and went to Belize for a week. Much to my suprise, when I got home it still didn't work. Luckily, I found this guide that tells you exactly how to get inside the computer and see the damage. Of course, by "fixing" I mean taking apart and staring blankly at the insides. I didn't really "fix" anything and my Powerbook is now a very expensive paperweight.

You probably just didn't wash it out well enough. I'm sure whoever told you to stick it under the shower was sober and knew exactly what they were doing. Idiot. Loser.
I agree, I don't think you washed it long enough. Did you rinse and repeat? Amateur hour.
